BoE shaman love!

I was making my merry way home from school today, after an exhausting day of SHAKESPEAREZIMBABWEFRANKENSTEINSEX classes, and I decided I really wanted soup. Because, you know, that’s how I roll. So, I stopped at Panera Bread (overpriced, I know, but excellent), grabbed my Baked Potato Soup, a Roast Beef sandwich ’cause I’m a fatty, and sat myself down at the closest table so  I could spam f5 on free WiFi and count the blog views while enjoying my hearty night time dinner.

What I was not expecting was this:

Note some of the pretty things in this image:

A) It’s a 2.6 speed mace! Luvluvluvluvluv.

B) It’s BoE! So even if you don’t manage to see this QT in the next week (it drops off Mr. Direbrew in Blackrock Depths, but he’s shy and only comes out once a year), you should be able to buy one, albeit for a pretty penny.

C) It’s iLevel 226. For those of you for whom the word “iLevel” sounds like a foreign language (my dad included!), iLevel 200 items drop out of Naxx10/Coren Direbrew. ILevel 226 items drop off 25 KT/Reg Uld 25 bosses, meaning that this item is as well itemized as Calamity’s Grasp(and with Agi, Haste, Ap, Crit, to boot!) Because of this, not only are the stats nice, but it also has a whopping 171.5 dps, meaning no more farming H ToC for your dual Aledar’s Battlestar, which is only iLevel 219.

D) It looks preeeeeeetty.

Yes, I want it. Minus the fact that it’s a downgrade.

However, I’m so going after it on my Death Knight Tank’s offspec-but-sometimes-main-spec-depending-on-my-mood. (Remember, Threat of Tharassian DW death knights follow the same weapon speed rules as us!) I’m totally looking forward to being a Femcow with mugs for hands. 😀

This is Elam, signing off from Panera, as I finished my soup before typing (it was so good!) and I think I’m getting weird looks from the other patrons from salivating over this weapon.

Cheers to all who get it!

So, first week of class.

This is Elam, just checking real quick!

This past week was my first week of classes: 19th centruy romanticism, Shakespearean tragedy, Urban Anthropology, and History of Sex Education in schools have stolen my soul. On top of this, I went back to work after the end of my summer vacation, so I’ve been spending my free time reviewing these grants and survey things that I need to develop “teen programming” for. And, I’ve been raiding. Thus, busy! (Oh and Notelam might have hit level 80. :x)

I will be back updating, hopefully by tomorrow night, or by Saturday. I want to get in a hardmode NB kill on either 10 or 25, with screenshots, as that is what I will be posting about!

Talk to you all in a few, and sorry. 😡

On using “On Use.”

I just found out that Talon King Ikiss from Sethekk Halls in BC did not enrage if you used an on-use trinket. I was told on my first run there that he did, and had subsequently spent an entire expansion of heroics AND leveled like 4 characters through outlands thinking I could not use trinkets on him without wiping the group. I’m pretty amazing.

Now, with that awkward vignette out of the way, you shoud click below this shiny line to read my ramblings about why On Use trinkets are underrated additions to your enhance arsenal. (Also, that sentance ending was LIKE assonance, but not. >:()

Because Everyone Else is Talking About It:

I’ve been wildly debating whether or not to do a Cataclysm “omgwtfbbq” post going over every single change in detail and talking about how much it makes me want to squeal with excitement. After about 30 seconds of being like “BUT THATS LIKE A LOT OF WRITING AND STUFF,” I decided on “yes,” since a new expansion is pretty much a bloggers wet dream. That said, this is not that post.

Why is that? Because I want ALL the information before I post about it, so I think I’m going to wait until the end of Blizzcon to update. I just want to be able to go through, nitpick on every single thing and go “omgz thats kewl and hears y!” Suffice to say, however, I don’t think I have -ever- been excited for a video game in my life as I am for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. It seems amazing, and I give props to everyone at Blizzard for making it look so appealing. That said, here are the things I currently dislike!: (Btw spoilers for you bads who are blocked from at work, so don’t go below this shiny linkbar if you’re afraid of finding out that Sirius Black is dead, Snape Killed Dumbledore, Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker’s Father, and Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen will make you ask for your money back.)
